PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Sedgwick on-demand property inspector program is a collaboration between a field inspector and desk adjuster to capture the critical details needed in the proper settlement of losses. As an inspector, you will provide professional field services to some of the world's largest companies and play a critical role in helping determine a proper settlement. Using the mobile Lightning Resource app, you will partner with the desk adjuster to capture the important details to support the investigation of a loss in a streamlined and simple manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
  • The on-demand property inspector program is comprised of two types of assignments:
    The first assignment will require you as the inspector to take photos, label the photos and complete an abbreviated report which is a notes template contained within the mobile Lightning Resource app.
  • The second assignment will require you as the inspector to take photos, label the photos, complete an abbreviated report and may require additional details obtained through scoping, measurements and a sketch or diagram.
  • 1099 position
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills needed
  • Willingness and ability to climb roofs if necessary
  • Previous claims handling, home inspection, roofing experience preferred

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Supports the organization's quality program(s).
  • Travels as required.
  • Previous roofing, claims handling or inspection experience preferred
  • Must have or be willing to purchase a computer and smart phone

  • Be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
  • Be able to push/pull up to 100 pounds
  • Be able to drive up to 4 hours per day.
  • Must have continual use of manual dexterity.
